Questions and Answers

We'll update this space with the answers to frequently asked questions. Please contact us with any concerns you have!

Do I need to rent a car?
Not necessarily, though it would be the most convenient way to get around. With advance reservations, the Hilton North Raleigh provides a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. If you think you will need transportation to the church or the reception, let us know and we will try to coordinate rides with others.

Should I change clothes between ceremonies, or before the reception?
The bride and groom will be making several "costume changes" during the day, but it's definitely not necessary (or expected) for guests to change outfits. Feel free to wear the comfortable, festive garb of your choice! Of course, if you wish to change clothes, that's fine too. There are rooms in the church should you want to change before the Hindu ceremony, and there should be a little time to return to your hotel room prior to the reception if you'd like to switch outfits (or just freshen up).

Are you registered for gifts?
First of all, your choosing to share in this special occasion with us is the best gift we could ask for. Nothing else is necessary.

If you still feel like getting us something, rather than a traditional gift, we would be honored and overjoyed if you would consider making a donation to one of our favorite organizations instead:

Doctors Without Borders
The Nature Conservancy
Human Rights Campaign
Habitat for Humanity

Please let us know if you choose to do this, so we can thank you more personally. All of the websites allow you to make a gift donation directly, and you can use wedding@francesandsaurabh.net as the notification or acknowledgment e-mail address. Thank you so much!

Did you get any help creating the website?
We designed it ourselves, but we got lots of ideas from Kirsten and Atul Mallik, great advice from Cindy Alvarez, and incomparable support from David Krinsky. Thanks very much!
